U2 FRONTMAN Bono is the proud dad of a baby boy.

His wife, Ali, gave birth to their only son in Dublin’s Mount Carmel Hospital on Wednesday morning. The happy couple, both 38, are delighted with their new arrival who weighed in at a healthy 7lbs 2oz.

Bono already has plenty of nappy changing experience with two little girls; Eve, six, and Jordan, 10. But the millionaire rocker is said to be thrilled with his first son. The couple returned to Ireland from their luxury holiday retreat in the south of France for the birth.

A friend said: “Mother and child are both doing very well. They are delighted with their new baby boy, and the girls can’t believe they have a brother.”
