About: A little about me, I was bitten with the U2 obsession in 1991 with the release of Achtung Baby. Although I’ve known about U2 since the mid 80’s it wasn’t until the AB album that I was hooked. AB was the very first (and only) album that I had ever owned that I played straight through without hating a single song. I truly love every song on that album. Even today that album seems so fresh. U2 have been named and shamed as the creators of the most disastrous stage shows of all time. The Irish rockers came top of a survey by US magazine Blender for the set on their 1997 Popmart world tour. The concert was plagued with a string of errors including smoking the audience out with special effects and getting trapped in a giant lemon that they were using as a stage prop. Blender magazine writes, "No musician is immune to the catastrophe of the onstage meltdown… absurd sets, drunken lead singers and horribly exposed miming." Other artists listed in the top ten were JEFFERSON STARSHIP and THE EVERLY BROTHERS.
