Last month, AskMen.com asked its readers to submit 100 nominees for the list asking: Who are the best representatives of our gender? Who are the 49 ambassadors of male-kind? Readers then cast more than 1 million votes to determine the Top 49.

The List isn’t like the "Most Sexy" and "Most Beautiful" lists published elsewhere. Success in a single field wasn’t enough to make the cut readers had to choose men who both excel in their profession and exemplify prized male traits (style, intelligence, character, etc.)
