Only three football teams and Robbie Williams have a bigger fan base in Britain than JK Rowling. The Edinburgh-based Harry Potter author has been rated as having the fifth biggest fan base, according to a poll by hotel company Travelodge. Manchester United had the biggest fan base, with an estimated one in five of all football addicts following Sir Alex Ferguson’s side. Liverpool football club came in third place, with Arsenal fourth and U2 sixth.
