A hotel owned by U2’s Bono and The Edge had to be evacuated last night after a small fire broke out according to Reuters.
Four units from Dublin’s Fire Brigade were called to The Clarence at 11pm after a minor blaze occurred in the hotel’s basement.
A spokesperson told the Press Association: “It was quite a small fire down in the basement where old bits of carpet lying around caught on fire. So there was no real danger there.
“I know there were about 90 people evacuated but nobody was in any real danger.
