U2 Adding Songs To Tour Set List
(RTTNews) - U2 may add their 1995 single “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me” to the set list of their 360° Tour, which resumes in Italy this week.
The song was released as part of the soundtrack to 1995′s hit film Batman Forever. Fans camped outside U2′s rehearsal at the Olympic Sports Stadium in Torino reportedly overheard them playing the track earlier this week. There are also reports that a previously unreleased song was overheard as part of the rehearsal.
The Edge recently discussed the possibility of playing some fresh material in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.
“At the Horizon sessions, [producers] Steve Lillywhite and Brian Eno said, ‘The difference it makes when you play songs live is huge. Would you consider playing them live before you record them?’ We always thought, ‘Wonderful idea,’ but never had the chance. This may, be that moment.”
The band is currently preparing to resume the European leg of their tour, which was delayed due to Bono‘s emergency back surgery in May. The European tour will kick off in Torino this week and wraps up in Rome on October 8.
