On Saturday's Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1, Richard Durrand was broadcast live from Colourfest in Glasgow.

Just as his set was coming to close he played a Beautiful Day remix.

On the website the mix is listed as: U2 - Beautiful Day - (Pascal Feliz Rework)

Further digging has revealed it is a bootleg remix of the track by this Dutch DJ.

More than the track itself I love the way has named it 'Bootyleg Day', OK it might be just me that finds that amusing lol.

As for the track.. well its a high BPMer, bording hard house/trace genre.

Seems it has been about since last August but so far I have come up sort on finding the full track.

But fear not here is the 4 and half minute taster that is on his Myspace page.

Fans of U2 will soon be able to watch previously unseen film of the band in rehearsal. The footage will be included in a forthcoming documentary by producer Daniel Lanois, titled "Here Is What Is". Lanois has co-produced a number of U2 albums, including "The Unforgettable Fire", "The Joshua Tree", "Achtung Baby" and "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb".

Apparently, the movie will attempt to highlight what goes on behind the closed doors of a recording studio. In a press release, Lanois said: "The mystery of the recording studio is what keeps me coming back. "Many rewards have come to me through this laboratory. It is my temple, my domain, my frustration and my love.

Celebrity duo splash £3 million on Bolton flats

CELEBRITY superstars Hollywood actor Colin Farrell and U2 drummer Larry Mullen have splashed out £3 million on a new apartment block in Bolton.

The bad-boy actor and the rock legend have jointly bought "The Anvil", a 26-apartment town centre development on the corner of Silverwell Lane and Clive Street.

U2 fans attending the Toronto Film Festival in Canada next month (Sep07) are in for a treat - producer DANIEL LANOIS' new film, which is premiering at the event, features footage of the band rehearsing songs from their upcoming album.

In musical documentary Here Is What Is, the celebrated music mogul attempts to explain what makes him one of the best producers on the planet. The film also features appearances by Willie Nelson, Sinead O'Connor and former Roxy Music star Brian Eno.

Bono's 'One' gets preliminary RNC nod

WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- U2 frontman and humanitarian Bono received support for his global anti-poverty initiative from an unusual source -- the U.S. Republican National Committee.

In taking a first step toward endorsing the "One" program, the RNC's Resolution Committee did not rescind the full body's previous endorsement to spend an estimated $30 billion in U.S. taxes on the program, prompting conservative members to question the priorities of their national committee, The Washington Times reported Friday.

Why in God’s name are you taking her to Cleveland for her birthday?!? That was a recurring question when I told people of my plans to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday (a husband’s code of conduct forbids me from printing her age) this past weekend. I was just following orders; the missus always wanted to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Did I marry the right woman or what?

AS the world's highest paid supermodel, Gisele Bunchen can afford to be picky with her projects – and we hear she's in excited talks with Bono to star in U2's next music video.

The pair reportedly hit it off when Gisele appeared in awareness-raising ads for Bono's RED charity campaign, for which she refused payment.
