I was flicking through Perth Weekly (a free community paper) and in it
there was an article on the rise in popularity of Irish Pubs here in
Perth (we have 13 now operating in this tiny city of ours!).

Anyway, at the end of the article it said:

<snip>
...interest in Irish music and culture began well before Michael
Flatley, thanks to such bands as The Boom Town Rats, Thin Lizzy and U2.
"What U2 did is open up Ireland to the rest of the world musically and
culturally...Irish artists have always maintained an identity - even
those who hit the big time - and I think that identity is something
people can relate to"
<snip>

Reading this and hearing "Streets" on the radio made my day. WOO HOO!

Sime.
