War and the recent bombings

I've been listenin' to War a lot lately, and it's got me thinkin' about
the bombings. I've been thinkin' about Ireland a lot. And I've
*really* been thinkin' about us, America, bombing back, in return for
what happened in Africa.

I'm disgusted that we bombed back. Whenever I hear about the STUPID
decision Clinton made to bomb, I just keep hearing U2's words in my
head.

I can't believe the news today
How long must we sing this song
Bodies strewn across a dead end street
We eat and drink, while tomorrow they die
Push the button and pull the plug
Say good bye
Tonight, tomorrow's too late
*Two wrongs don't make a right*

How could we stoop to those terrorists' level? Revenge? Is that how we
fix this? No! TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT!!! I think America looks
really fuckin' stupid right now. I don't like what "we" did. But it
wasn't really "us." I don't know about you, but I didn't have a say in
this. It was damn Clinton. Who knows if this was genuine or just a
distraction from the deal with Miss Lewinsky, but whatever the case, I
still think it's terrible. Bombing back won't fix anything. It just
pisses more people off. Honestly though, I don't know what I would have
done in place of it, but I think it's just plain, flat-out ridiculous.
It fixes nothing.

Clinton should listen to his U2 more often. He could have learned a
thing or two from Bono, who defenitely said it best:

Two wrongs don't make a right.
