U2 are Christians and I say SORRY!!!

Thanx for all the genuine replies to my mail,

Please don't get me wrong in all this. I only posted that mail on Wire
to see what kind of a response I would get (it was a kind of experiment as I
am only new to Wire) ...I know that it was a bit controversial, but I
honestly didn't think it would receive such a response. I certainly
pissed a lot of people off!!! Don't get me wrong , I am not naive to
where U2 stands with their faith. They have openly admitted their faith
many times before and if they
have remained true to this belief then I really have no reason to be worried
about their salvation.

As you can probably tell, I am a Christian, and I do sometimes try to
interpret U2 songs in such a way. I do realise that Wake Up Dead Man is
really just posing that age old question "Why God?" I mean, even King David
wrote this in many of his Psalms in the Bible. God has been asked this
question many times before and it really gets us annoyed when we can't
immediately find any answers. I actually have found this song really
helpful in talking to people about God, because it generates a real intense
need inside when you listen to it for answers.

I hope I didn't hurt anyone's feelings too much, I know I offended
a few people, and
as you know, it wasn't a very "Christian" thing to do, just to see
what kind of response I would get!
Please don't post me any mail saying what a hypocrytical bastars I am
because I purposely designed the last posting to generate some kind
of a response from people. I did not mean it to totally offend the
way that it did some. Anyway, that is where I leave this issue
alone now on Wire, I will only definitely post in future regarding this
subject if people are really getting it wrong :)

--------------------------

Anyway, I haven't been able to read Wire yet for the last few days,

What is going on with the PopMart video? I really can't wait for it to
arrive.

Does anyone know what the tracklist for Greatest Hits 1 is going to be...boy
I wish they'd give it another name...it sounds so mundane!
Why don't we try to throw some ideas for a name around on Wire :)
I make one up now of the top of my head, GROWING UP!

I know, it's a bit silly, but it represents that this was the period U2 was
still growing up as a band,

anyway I will shut up now, I definitely write too much...

have a great weekend everyone,
Wilson :)
