Greatest Hits Tour?? Why, Popmart already was!

There's been alot of talk about the Greatest Hits CD, maybe too much talk.
But I've also seen quite a few people all over mention hopes of a Greatest
Hits tour to follow. In my opinion, we just had a greatest hits tour.

Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED Popmart. And you can flame me
all you want for this. But why do a greatest hits tour. Isn't that pretty
much what Popmart was, or turned into? If the 14 songs they picked for the
new Cd are considered Greatest Hits, then look at the Popmart Setlists. 8 out
of 14 tracks were played regularly. By regularly, I mean atleast half the
tour. 2 out of the 14 were played on occassion. That's roughly 70% of their
"Greatest Hits Volume 1." If they did a Greatest Hits tour, what would they
add? Possibly songs that would be on volume 2? Like Bullet, Mysterious
Ways, One, Even Better Than The Real Thing....gee, they all sound familiar.
Honestly, what would a Greatest Hits tour setlist include any different
from a typical Popmart setlist? Granted, I would go to as many of the shows
as I could just because they are U2 and I love the music, but I think it would
be like Popmart all over again, just with a different stage. I'd rather see
the "unsung heroes" tour. A tour where they played all the songs that are
great, but you don't hear much live, or haven't heard since they toured with
the particular album the song was off.
I don't know about anyone else, but my favorite songs off most the albums
are the ones that were never released as singles, or you don't hear too much
about. The less "popular" songs. I could do without hearing Streets again,
or I Still Haven't Found... I could go on, but I won't.
Go ahead and flame me, but that's just my opinion, and I'm entitled to it.
I'm mostly a lurker, and I read other people's opinions everyday. For once, I
decided to voice mine.
