Today I ache all over... a result of bush walking and crap talking.

More than that, today was a big deal, a heavy mother, a day for
remembering loss, the loss of that rare jewel, a true friend. The walk was
a way of remembering with some others a friend who made their own choice
to not be here anymore. To get all confessional on you guys, I didn't feel
up to coping with it.I tried so hard to pretend today was just any other
day
on the calander, but it isn't and it never will be. Grief isn't something
you
ever really get over, its just something you gradually ignore. Blocking it
out I guess. This afternoon I came home and just sat staring at the wall.
Numb. Then I put on the Joshua Tree...emotion like a mac truck hit me in
the face. Bono has said he uses music to keep himself aware, awake to
life, but also that music is a legal drug. They, U2 are all that and more,
well for me at least. A comfort a challenge, poetry, frivolous
entertainment,
heartfelt emotion, a sonic hug for the inner being.

Yeah, Its only rock and roll, but on days like these I don't just like it,
I need it.

Cry More Often,
 Kate
