I'm a digester so I don't completely remember what I read (I have to
download off of AOL) as per the question "Are early U2 songs classic?"
Absolutely. If "I Will Follow" isn't a classic, I'll eat my next
Renaissance Faire costume!! :-) By the same token, if I hear a song from
"Pop", that's now! Chalk it up to a group that really, really knows
what's going on out there. It looks like this thing about a new studio
album next year is *not* a rumor--it's the truth. I'm telling you,
waiting for the next U2 album can be as bad as waiting for the next
Olympics!! :-)
