I was going through the Wire archives from December of 1997, and-- gosh,
I hope I don't get nuked for mentioning this, but I noticed the articles
about Bono having trouble with his voice. Maybe he'd had the flu. If you
get that particiular type of torture, it's really easy to have relapses,
and it takes eons for you to get rid of laryngitis and other assorted
undesirables. (How do I know this? I've had a gazillion cases of flu and
bronchitis--yuck!) Of course this is strictly speculation on my part.
Does anyone have the scoop on this?

Pax,
Patricia
