Best of Van Morrison: A Good Thing

This is a Best of Van Morrison Promo or just another attempt at
looking at the bright side of the U2 "GH" debate. Yes, there is a dark
side, I'll admit to that, but I'd just like to help shed more light on
the brighter side with yet another support story.
Someone else mentioned getting into the Cure(?) after getting one of
their Best of Albums (didn't know they put one out...) I could be wrong
on the name of the band. Anyway, I'll have to vouch for the same
argument in regards to Van Morrison.
I was always aware of his name as a singer (like many are with U2).
And I was vaguely aware of some of the songs he had written/sang (like
many are with U2). I liked what I heard, but had no idea the extent of
his writings (like many are with U2). BUT, (yep I've got a big but too
:), BUT! it was only after picking up his Best of Album that I became
fully aware of WHICH songs and OTHER songs he sang. And I now cherish
this album along with my other favorites. If it wasn't for this best of
album I would still be in the opaque about Van Morrison. Now, I can say
I'm a full fledged "fan" of his. So, I've said it once and I'll say it
again. This thing can be great PROPAGANDA for the band.
Oh, here are some DID YOU KNOWs about Van Morrison below. Have a peek.
~Shary :)
Did you know it WASN'T....
 1) Rod Stewart who wrote "Have I Told You Lately"? Yup, V.H.
 2) The Waterboys who wrote "Sweet Thing"? Yup, V.H. (Not to be confused
with U2's ST)
Did you know it was V.H. who sang/wrote: Baby Please Don't Go, Brown
Eyed Girl (an anthem in the Pacific Islands :), Domino, Warm Love, Wild
Night, Queen of the Slipstream...and ofcourse Gloria... (Notice U2
echoes? Hmmmm....)

My last post this week...I promise. ~Shary
