The radio station I work for got the Sweetest Thing single today, and
we're putting it into heavy rotation tonight.
I hadn't listened to the song on the Internet yet, and now that I've
heard it, I'm not too terribly sure I really like it. I like the
original so much because it's so rough and raw. And I've only heard it
on a computer's CD Rom, but I couldn't really hear any bass. :-( But I'm
sure this one will grow on me, just like the second "Please" did.
The packaging is pretty cool. Lots of gold. Good for a greatest hits
record, I guess. The picture is indeed Guggi's brudder, Peter Rowan, and
he's wearing a gas mask. Of course there's the whole
Lillywhite/Lanois/Eno stuff on the back, with "Special thanks to Ali
Baba." The radio single only has this one track on it.
So. Yay. There you have it.
