Bad seller/buyer alert (2)

Hey Wire,

I kinda hate to do this because I've spoken to both of these people
and they seem very nice. But there's no denying that I'm ticked off
with them now.

1. Roach - He told me he was interested in coming to one of the
Popmart shows with me, so I got him a ticket. A rather expensive
ticket, in the 3rd row. (I don't want to get into a scalper debate
here, please.) The day before the concert he still had not returned
my calls about where to meet each other when we got there, etc, so I
gave him a ring, only to find that "something had come up and he
couldn't go." Had I not called him I would have been waiting there at
the stadium for God knows how long. This was last May. I have not
seen any money, nor have I heard from him since. I have sent several
polite requests for at least part of the money but my e-mails are not
returned.

2. Aingeal - In April of 1997 I purchased some U-Toons from her - $60
worth, so that she would be able to afford to see Popmart. Turns out
she was at almost all the shows, despite the fact that she claimed to
be unable to afford it. She has sent me numerous excuses (floods,
lost in the mail, etc) as to why my U-Toons never arrived, and now she
is no longer responding to my e-mails, either.

I realise that I am partially to blame for trusting people I didn't
really know well enough. Perhaps I am a fool. Regardless, I think
the trust of a fellow U2 fan is not something that should be taken so
lightly by its recipients. Just what I need, something to make me
more cynical and disappointed in humanity. :P
