Somebody mentioned this same idea that I'm about to convey a long while
ago and I've wanted to discuss it ever since then, but haven't found the
time, 'til now..
For me, on Zooropa, there is no distinct favourite song, listening to
this album is more of an experience. For me, it is a "Saturday album."
What I mean is: Have you ever listen to Zooropa on a crisp cool Saturday
afternoon, while driving in your car around your local coast of the
north atlantic? (sure, this is a little specific, but it's what I do) I
mean, all the sounds all the emotion of Zooropa (especially the first
side of the tape) just flow so well in a relaxed environment, from the
soaring opening song, to the cool, laughable babyface, to edge's
electronic venture (which is great to listen to mixed in with your
computer's online dialup connection sounds, try it sometime!), to lemon
(breathtaking, undescribable), and I just love how Stay wraps up the
first side, such a simple rhythm, but such an emotional song. Somehow,
to me, the album holds an unbreakable connection to the beach, the
coastline, the water and waves.. But not the beach at summer-time; it
represents the beach in fall, spring, and winter, when the weather (in
Delaware) is more like that of Ireland's.
I hope (but doubt) that some of you get this connection as well, because
for me U2's music is so much more than music, it is an overwhelming
emotional experience..

adios,
