My wonderful U2 day

I have not had a great U2 day in a long time....until today!!!

I was shoppin' with my mom in Santa Barbara, CA. I started to lose
energy, and as it always does when I'm runnin' outta steam, "Happiness
Is A Warm Gun" started runnin' through my head over and over. "I need a
fix, `cause I'm goin' down...." I was tired and cranky and not finding
anything I really needed or wanted to buy, so I split from my mom and
walked down a ways to a coffee shop to get some caffeine in my system.
As I walked into The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, I was *blown away*. I
heard someone singin' "I need your love. I need your love!" "Oh my
God," I thought. "Is that......no. Could it be?? Is it.....BONO?!?
AAAAAAAHHHHH, IT IS!" Like always, when I hear U2 in public, I keep my
cool on the outside and just smile a whole lot, but inside, I'M
SCREAMIN' AND JUMPIN' AROUND, ACTIN' LIKE A TOTAL HYPER FREAK, MAN! I
get so excited, I feel like moving to the beautiful music! I feel in
the best mood. I feel like I'm glowing. Like I'm floating a foot above
the ground. I feel naturally high. I.....I just.....UUURRRHHHH, I
CAN'T EXPLAIN! Words can't explain it as well. It's just a great
feeling. (But I'm sure I don't have to explain, anyway. I know plenty
of you know exactly how I feel!)

OK, I'm off and rambling. I'll get back to the story.

So, I walk in and Hawkmoon's on. My spirits are suddenly lifted and I'm
*very* happy! I then got my mocha. I walked out, but the mocha was so
damn hot, I went back in and asked another guy for a little ice to put
in it. He gave me some, and commented on the Hard Rock Hotel- Las Vegas
hat I was wearin'. He liked it, and asked if I saw Elvis there.
"No, unfortunately," I said.
He added, "Unfortunately, huh? Ooh, now you're talkin' like me." So, I
*knew* he was a music lover.
I told him, "Y'all are playin' U2 and I LOVE it! That's just awesome."
He said, "Yeah! Usually they make us play this one really lame tape
here, but today we put on what we wanted."
I said, "RATTLE & HUM!"
"Yeah," he said. "Great album."
Then I said, "Ya know somethin', I *almost* wore my U2 hat today too!"
"Oh reeeeeally?" he asked.
Yeah, I almost did. I was frantically lookin' around for it this
mornin', but couldn't find it anywhere in my messy room, damn it! Oh
well.

Anyway, after all that was done, I went shoppin' down the street for a
little bit. Then I was on my way back to meet my mom, and decided to
pop in the coffee shop one more time, just to see what song was on next.
"She sings heaaaaaarrrrrt, heaaaaaarrrrrt and SOOOOOOUUUUL! YEAH YEAH!
Yeah yeah!" It was Angel Of Harlem! *sigh* That was so bitchin'.

Gawd! I'm sorry folks. I have this simple little story to tell, and I
turn it into a damn novel! Geez. I'm typing and I can't shut up!!!
Sorry. Me and my big mouth! I'll shut up now. I need to go to bed
anyway.

Okey dokey, g'night lovely Wire. :)

Nikki

Your love was a light bulb hangin' over my bed!
*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
BABY, BABY, BABY! Light my way!
