Hey, Matt, I voted in your poll!! :-) I chose the band's meeting Paul
McGuinness as the most important event in their careers, because good
management is really important to any band's success-- no matter how
talented they are. Brian Epstein mattered big time to the Beatles, and
Paul McGuinness has mattered big time to U2. A new band has to have as
much exposure to record companies and the public as possible, and
McGuinness was really smart about helping the band grab their chances.
