Hi Wire!

With regards to all the talk of meeting the band, and concerts, I couldn't
help but think about my interesting times.

I saw Zoo TV in CAnada during a Girl Scout trip up there. My former leader
still does not know about it. I managed tickets, I was 13 at the time, b/c
my dad knew someone from Halifax, who hooked us up. We had spent the
entire day travelling to our destination - Halifax - and thankfully, our
leader was tired as were we, and we decided to go directly to the hotel.
So, at 7pm, we snuck out, after calling a cabbie. We got there, spent all
of our money to get there, and it was the time of our lives! The three of
us, loose in a city we didn't know, and watching U2! After the concert, we
never thought to arrange for transportation back, we hitched a ride back.
Dangerous, yes, but worth it. We got in ok, and nobody knew we were gone,
since they had all been asleep! That year, I went to seven U2 concerts,
using up all my babysitting money to get tickets and t-shirts, living in
my cousin's car. It was an experience and I would do it again!

POPMart? I bought tickets to may 31 and june 1st NYC shows, and actually
bought tickets to Philly, june 8th, my graduation day. That was all cool,
and my friend and I were actually going to ditch graduation, b/c my
parents weren't supposed to be home that week. Things got screwed up and
they were home and quite pissed at me for buying tickets in an attempt to
not go to graduation, like I really gave a shit, it was high school. Had
to sell the tiks :-(. (And gradutation sucked!).

I know about sacrificing for tickets. Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam tickets
last year, I bought with money that was suppsed to buy me food for the
month of april. My mom gave me the money when my meal plan rran out but
tickets were more important, and I became an expert moocher in the
meantime!

I'm still a poor college kid, but you bet I'll be first in line on Nov.
3rd to buy the video and GH. Even if it is all the money I haev for the
month of Nov.

There is no monetary value for something that means so much to you and is
a mainstay in your life. Just memories, lots of them.
