published on their front page this past Sunday, October 18.

Bono and Salman Rushdie
WE would like to apologise for a number of inaccuracies in last week's
front page and in the Keane Edge. We now accept that though Salman Rushdie
stayed in Bono's home on two occasions several years ago, it is not true
that it has been his "regular home since 1993". Nor is it true that he
"commuted from all over the world to Bono's house". Nor were there
"frequent ... chopper landings." We accept that these embellishments of the
facts were wrong, we regret printing the inaccurate details, and the Sunday
Independent is happy to publish this clarification.
