Hi there,

I just received this from Cathy, and it looks like all those years of
hardcore detective training paid off. Or they would have. If I'd had
some...

So this is not my mail, I'm forwarding it. But everyone should know it.

Cheers,

Briscoetheque

Subject: RE: Daniel Douglass, Evan, Johns (whatever the hell this guy wants to
    call

Hi Andrew,

I'm writing this from my work account so I can't post to Wire direct so I
would be eternally grateful if you could post some info on my behalf. Word
it however you want and don't be afraid to use my name.

This is an all time new low for Danny Best.

This person who has been flogging things off on Ebay IS DANNY. The street
address is his. Although I have never been given (officially) his street
address I was talking to him shortly before he moved and got the usual run
of jokes about him moving to a street called Queen Street when his
favourite source of amusement is slagging off gays. I definitely know that
it is Norwood as I was there when he arranged for a moving van.

I am so sick and tired of this guy ripping people off and ruining it for
all traders/sellers. You can walk into virtually any record store in
Adelaide and have the owner give you a 3 hour tirade of how Danny has
ripped them off. There is only one store which he can safely walk into in
this city and that is only because his mate owns it. Interestingly enough,
despite his claims of not being able to produce the boots anymore both the
Adelaide 89 and 93 shows and the Sydney 98 set (with his artwork, so they
were not copies) were being sold at a record fair a fortnight ago.

Sightings of Danny have been few and far between lately. Tim Both saw him a
few weeks ago but avoided him like the plague. I myself am waiting for him
to bring in his part of a trade but as it has been 3 months I am on the
verge of telling him to get stuffed.

He has exhausted all possibilitites in Adelaide and on Wire, now it's
Ebay's turn. Btw, Hello.net.au is a free email service run by a multimedia
centre in Adelaide . It isn't recognised as an anonymous account by Ebay so
that is the only reason he is getting away with it. He can no longer use
his post office box address as people on Wire know it so he has resorted to
using a home address. Out of interest you may want to know that he is still
running a mail order business which he advertises in IT magazine, another
way for people to get ripped off!!

All in all, he is *bad* news but there are still plenty of people out there
willing to defend him because he delivered on their initial orders. Little
did they realise that he was only doing that to build up a semi-reasonable
reputation to get more customers.

I honestly cannot believe his arrogance. Six months later and he's up to
his old tricks. The guy who is trying to build a case against him has no
hope of being able to catch the bastard as he has evaded the courts in the
past. Again, almost every store in Adelaide has had a case against him and
the judgement has gone their way. It doesn't mean that he will ever cough
up.

So there you have it. There is more to tell so feel free to give me a buzz
on ICQ sometime. My number is 10986257 and I'm online most evenings.

On a totally different note I laughed my arse off at your sellout post. God
bless Cartman.

Cathy
