U2 vs. its Antithesis

I'm beginning to realize, especially after having talked with them the
other day, that that which comprises U2 is really the antithesis of
the image which has been projected...And am beginning to wonder, if
this "antithesis" was there prior to the image which distorted it,
making many of us believe that U2 and those intrinsic parts thereof
are something that they're not and never have been? Or is this
antithesis a more recent development brought on by the absurdity and
superficiality of the lives they live. At this point I wouldn't be
suprised to find out Bono's a cocaine-abusing, lip-syncing, DOW
chemical plant stock holder...I see this kiddie's posters coming down
soon.
