I was at the premier for the hardrock cafe here in Denver tonight and I was
walking through it for a while. They have ALOT of stuff..some cool
stuff..walls of some artists and then bits and pieces from others. There were
2 U2 things there though they werent THAT cool but U2 nonetheless...they had a
JT framed lithograph print that was given to Barry Fey and a gold JT record
that was also given to Barry Fey. Barry Fey donated them to the hardrock.

For all of U who dont know who he is....well I will be nice about this. He
ran Fey Concerts here in Denver for 25 years and was the main concert promoter
that brought in shows to Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada. He retired last
year and his company was bought by Universal Concerts. But he was really
really really good to U2. He gave them a chance to play here in denver when no
one would look at em back in the VERY early 80's. He helped make them known
and successful here. Bono has mentioned in at least 3 bootlegs that I have
"this song is dedicated to Barry Fey". They were Vegas 87, Denver 92, and
Denver 97 I think Denver 97 but the other 2 for sure.

anyway...the man is not the nicest guy on the earth (an asshole actually) but
he helped U2 and for that I respect and admire him...and I thank him for that
one thing.

Nico
