When I read Mr. Calvin's response to Moe I found it incredibly hard to
digest.
Here is a so-called "Hard Core" U2 fan telling another fan, who is fairly
new to the wonderful world of U2, that he's a loser and a half-wit for even
thinking such a "terrible thought". Give me strength to carry on brother!
I've been a fan of U2 for over eleven years and it wasn't until about a year
and a half ago that I really found out about bootlegs and other treasurys of
the sort. I also just recently subscribed to WIRE as well. Does that make
me a loser?? As you so eloquently put it.
I subscibed to WIRE in order to meet fellow U2 fans from around the globe as
well as learn much more about the Greatest band to rock this rock we call
home. As far as I can tell most others ( Patricia, Nik and Adrian
especially) seem to agree with myself. Not to read the garbage so-called
fans like yourself want to post, "flaming" those who want to become better
aquainted with the "four jerks in a rock n' roll band".
Well that's my two cents and my first post.
To everyone else, as regards adrian's comment about needing more fans like
him (MOE) I readily agree. I can only hope a post like his or this one will
inspire those newly interested to ask more questions like these. Because if
they don't what's the purpose in even having a mailing list like this.

Thanx for pausing to read.
