Hey Everyone,
I've sat by long enough. I'm fed up of all these critic who keep on
bashing everything U2 does. It started with Zooropa, and now even the GH
is being bashed by the same people who once kiss the ground that U2
walked on. These stupid f*&$#^@ critics don't even bother listening to
the CD. For example, here in Montreal, in a local small paper called the
Mirror, a stupid journalist who obviously doesn't now the difference
between U2 and UB40, wrote that the CD was merely put out there for
money, and he complained who he couldn't believe that OCTOBER wasn't on
the CD. Hello asshole, did you even bother listening to it. It's called
a hidden song, do your research. Although I admit the boys are obviously
making a nice profit on the album, but if it recruits one new fan, just
one and drags that new fan away from such crap as groups (i can't even
call them that) as the BACK STREET BOYS (and all the other shit bands),
OR OTHER BANDS WHO DON'T EVEN HAVE THE TALENT, LET ALONE THE BALLS TO
WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS, I'd be happy.

As far as I'm concern, I know that when the dust clears and all other
bands are kissing their guitar picks, everyone will be into the U2 hype
again, until the new fad comes back in. And that is sick. They rocked
the world once and will again, that I know for sure. It's only a matter
of time. As for all the critics they should do their research before
bashing something. They should try to promote an album that makes
sense, has good songs that containing meaning, written by a band who
doesn't perform the same song over and over and over again. Instead of
fabricated groups who are constantly whining about the girl that won't
go with them, write something that means something, then I'll listen.

I believe also that PoP would have been big had it not been for the
rumor saying that it was "TECHNO". I heard all kinds of people who say,
"I hate the knew stuff, it's too electronic." but when asked if they
actually listened to the WHOLE album, "No, I like there old stuff."

Spread the word people, don't let the media intimidate a possible new
fan. It's just not fair to a band who places there heart and soul into
there work, to have it bashed by the "mot du jour"

Ciao

Mike
