Why the greatest hits is working so well!

I've read a couple of posts relaying a message that U2 is getting their
older music out to a new group of not only kids but adults as well. I'm
only 20 and have been into U2 for 6 or 7 years now, so this is more of a
complement to the ever growing collection. What is interesting is that
in my suite (dorm) there are six of us. Of those six including me, 4
have already bought the album and one who hasn't, has pretty much taken
it from his roomate. Anyway, one of my friends said, "You know, I only
have Achtung Baby. Now that I have this album, I can listen to their
older stuff to." So many either don't have the time or the money to buy
all the records, and this gives them an opportunity to enjoy U2 at their
best.
This seems to be clearly stated with their #2 ranking by billboard (hope
they stay in the top ten for a while!)
Also, with the addition of the greatest hits and a new album in the
future, this gives them an opprtunity to mix up the setlists on the next
tour! (Unforgettable Fire, Sweetest Thing, Other B-Sides, etc.) We'll
see.
