[First--don't panic, there's no "U2 content" in this article, but in
light of the interest shown in the Nobel concert, I thought some of you
might find this info of interest. Apologies to those of you outside the
US, or without cable TV...Again, there's not even a credible *rumor* that
U2 will appear, but at least you don't have to fly out to Oslo to confirm
this! -- eaplatt]

efforts were pivotal in reaching a peaceful resolution to the
long-standing conflict in Northern Ireland. The Nobel
Committee is producing the Concert at Oslo's 5,500 seat

concert, as well as interviews with former Nobel Peace Prize
winners and/or leading politicians who have made a
considerable contribution to the peace process. During the
two-hour special, viewers will get to see and hear personal
messages of peace and hope from children throughout the world.

window into what has become one of the most powerful and
emotional musical performances of the year," said Keller.
"The Nobel Peace Concert is the perfect culmination to the Fox
Family Channel '25 Days of Christmas' initiative, which, in
1998, will provide more family-targeted holiday programming
than any broadcast or cable television network."

as the paragon of human effort in trying to make our world a
better place for not only our generation but all future
generations," said Andrew Lanter, Director of Special Events
for TWI. "Music as a universal language serves as a perfect
vehicle in spreading this effort and we are proud of the
commitment that Fox Family Channel has made in delivering this
message to U.S. television audiences." TWI, which is
producing the concert with Fox Family Channel, is the
television division of International Management Group (IMG),
which produces and distributes over 5000 hours of programming
annually from production centers in New York, Hong Kong, New
