It's a CD all right--3" CD singles used to be more common, but it looks
like the 5" format won out, except in Japan! (OK, I've seen a few
European 3" CDs, e.g., "I'm Paranoid" by Garbage.) I've got a few 3" CD
singles from Japan, including the "Mysterious Ways" 3", which has the
nice, long, remix with the goofy title I can never remember (Solar Plexus
something or other...) One problem with the 3" CDs is, unless you've got
a CD player with a tray that can hold them, you'll have to use an adaptor
for them fit in the standard 5" CD tray. Sounds easy enough--until you
try to figure out where to _find_ an adaptor ring for 3" CD singles!
(It's a plastic ring that fits around the 3" CD, making it 5" across...)
"Discman"-type portables, and most newer models of CD players won't be
able to play the 3" discs without adaptors.

On the other hand...3" CDs are seriously *cute*, and some have different
b-sides than the other formats.
