As a definite product of MTV, I distinctly remember seeing the video for
Gloria, with the guys on some sort of barge, thinking, "this song is cool."
Then again, I also worshipped Duran Duran (remember THOSE days?). So,
although U2 had its beginnings as my #2, as soon as Roger Taylor left DD,
their reign at #1 was over ; )
My first album was Under a Blood Red Sky. Leave it to Mom to give kickass
Christmas gifts! (heaven knows that a 7th grader doesn't have much access
to money).
