                Hi U2 lovers !

I know some of you think it's funny but i just reply here to some of
the messages i've read.

As i'm a biologist now and as i worked previously with doctors i
think i can say the problem with "hard" drugs like coke (and heroin for
instance) is you can never get them under control. You think you can control
them at the beginning but unhappily, it's just an illusion. If you don't
believe me, ask to famous previously drug addict rockstars as David Bowie
and the singer of Depeche Mode (amongst others). And no, sorry, i don't
think Bono is a saint. Maybe i'd rather do to send to wire the part of the
interview i've read...or part of our last fanzine about Bono.

But if you have BP Fallon book, you can read a remark on it about
drug BP/whoever could do. Sorry, i don't remember where it is, but i
remember BP saying like "U2 disagree with this" (talking about someone who
did drugs).

PS: i don't know why some fans are so disturbed by the fact it
exists rockstars who don't do drugs...Bono is not the only one.

During the JT tour, all the band drank very much and it also could
explain his ramblings. And do you know Bono said he was influenced by Iggy
pop for writing songs and for some kinds of ramblings on stage ? And the
quotes can be interpreted like you want. You all know people usually hear
what they want to.

Sorry, re-read the N Stokes book about the songs, it's not written
these songs are about heroin, but about drugs. And how can you justify coke
is less dangerous than heroin ??????

>i mean, we all know he and the rest of

I don't know for sure about Howie B, was it coke, anyways ? I saw
him smoking joints on stage, no more. But about Adam, re-read the Hotpress
interview. I think (not sure) the band's disagreement is on it.

I'd really love to know someone who is really coke addicted and can
control it.

PS: Sorry to insist, but i don't idolize Bono/the whole band at all.
I just know french bands who don't do drugs, that's all. So, it's also
possible.

About Bono experiments, i have to say he knew people who did drugs,
friends like Phil Lynott for instance, so he didn't need to do drugs to know
their effects.

        In the name of love
