I don't think Bono is on hard drugs. Unfortunately, I do think he is an
alcoholic. You can tell if he has been on a drinking binge by looking
at photos. He is bloated in his face and neck. I also remember seeing
him on the Billboard Music Awards in the early 90's when he was so drunk
he could not pick his head up off the bar.

Do I think that Bono is basically a good person? yes. But idolizing
him and pretending that he does not have a problem makes it impossible
for him to get help. Its not just about rock and roll. Its about a
person who can't get help with his problems because of this image we
have created for him. If we do not make it acceptable for him to get
help, I'm afraid that he will end up with liver disease. Then we can
argue over his grave.
