OK, first to clarify. This is not a flame. I'm not insulting your
intelligence, but I've had people misunderstand, so this is my new
header :)

>Here are some excerpts:

>DISCOTHEQUE - "can't get enough of that lovey dovey stuff" (hmm..I
>wonder what)

This song to me was sung about someone else, not too personal. And even
if it was, it still seems to me to be talking about bubble-gum pop.

>EBTTRT - "take me higher" (what else could be better than the real
>thing....the real coke as compared to coca-cola..remmebr their slogan
>before)

Maybe, but I think it's a stretch. Still think it's talking about sex.

RTSS - "sweet the sin but bitter the taste in my mouth" (yeah I wonder
what sin this is)

Possibly...not sure but possibly :)

>ONE - "bad taste in you mouth", "higher" (his falsetto really makes
>him seem like he's so high)

OK, I think this one's going to far. I think we're reading in too much
to the lyrics in this song. I think that the bad taste in your mouth is
talking about oral sex, and relationships in general. Remember when
Flannagan asked him about all the references to oral sex in his lyrics?
And his wonderfully guilty response.

PS to Robbie--maybe the reference is a reference to his and Edge's
relationship ::chuckle at inside joke:: Bono did say that 69 was the
most equal sexual position, so maybe Bono doesn't like being bottom as
much as we thought!

>WGRYWH - "the deeper I spin" (what substance could make him spin and
>make him sin?)

Love. Especially lost love. Been there.

>BAD - "If I could you know I would" (if he could but he can't because
>he is addicted)

>IN GOD'S COUNTRY - "Sleep comes like a drug" (how can he use this
>metaphor if he hasn't trie drugs?)

Prescription painkillers, maybe? Or something like Benadryl, which puts
me to sleep for at least 18 hours if I take one.

>A.S.O.Homecoming - "and you hunger for the time, time to heal desire
>time" (only up to hungering for it but never achieving it because the
>drugs has really got him hooked ...same theme as Streets and I Still
>Haven't FOund ..always trying but never there)

I don't think this is about drugs. Relationships. Relationships.
Relationships.

Desire - "getting higher" (well, the song says a lot)

Desire for women. He's talking to a woman or about one.
