Bono unplugged

Hey Wirelings,
Tonite I was watching the Popmart video, one year anniversary and all, and
I noticed something which I have been suspicious of for some time now. Bono's
guitar ( when he plays) is hardly ever plugged in! I was searching as hard as
I could for a cord attached to his guitar during One, but a cord could not be
found. If this is so, that Bono plays unplugged that would explain why it
always confounded me that I couldn't hear his part on ZooTV and other videos.
If this is common knowledge, sorry to take up room, but it seems kinda wierd
to me, that they would do that. On the b-stage you can hear him well enough,
and he is obviously plugged, in, so why not at other times? Does the rest of
the band just not trust his skills enough yet?
I could be totally off base and just blind and deaf, but could someone
fill me in here?

One more question, who is Roy? In the middle of BTBS (popmart video) Bono
says, "run over to you, Roy." at least I think thats what he says.

in the name of love,
Kris
