Y'all wanna hear somethin' really bitchin'?

In my English class, we're writin' our last essay of the semester. We
have to pick a song and take those lyrics and compare them to this short
story called The Story of an Hour. Well, I chose "Running to Stand
Still." Then the other day, we were having what my teacher calls a
"writing workshop" where we get in groups and read our papers and
critique `em all. When I was about to go, some chick said in a real
snobby voice, "What song did you choose? A *U2* song???" I said, "Yes,
of course." :) Then I read my paper and everyone in the group was
kinda....shocked. The song kinda blew `em away. One girl said, "Wow,
that's a great paper. Whatta cool song." And another said, "Yeah, and
that's such a great title....Running to Stand Still." It really got `em
thinkin'. I was certainly a happy camper. :)

Hey- also, I wrote a paper on U2 about a month ago. I forgot to post it
on Wire, but I got an *A*!!! WOO HOO! (Well....I actually received a B
because it was a day late but.....it was still an A had I got it in on
time. Oh well...I'm still stoked!)

See ya!

P.S. This is for Stephen----> As for that Beatles' song, I didn't mean
to say "Life Goes On." Oops! I meant "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da,"
but.....same thing. Ya know, it's on the White Album, one of their
greatest *ever*. Know what I'm talkin' `bout? "Ob-la-di! Ob-la-da!
Life goes oooooooon, bra! La la, how the life goes on." It's a real
happy tune. And some really great words to live by! Groovy little
song.
