Hi Folks,

Firstly, the official word on the Windmill Lane wall getting "pulled down"
is this>>> Yes, neighbours have complained to authorities but moreso
regarding the litter etc. that is strewn around WL.......the graffiti itself
is not the problem. In other words the main U2 side of Windmill Lane
will be left alone (as a National Treasure ,in my view) but some of the
unseemly graffiti in nearby walls (non U2 related) will be air-brushed
off.........apart from that there will be a major clean-up in the area
itself.

Bono had a busy weekend entertaining celebs the past few days, on thursday
night himself, Ali and Tracy Chapman (after her gig) were in a quiet corner
in Lillies Bordello and Willem Dafoe has been staying in the Clarence all
week and has had dinner with Bono a few times (no doubt discussing Madonna's
candlewax techniques!!).................by the way, for those interested I
walked out of the Culture Club gig after 7 songs, they were
brutal!!!!!...Human League were ok though (maybe it was the 14 pints of
Guinness)!!!

cheers
Dave

p.s U2 have done a major TV campaign for their GH album specifically during
the live football matches on SKY SPORTS......firstly they do the regular 50
second ad.....then after about 3 more ads they come back + show 10 seconds
of the SW video with a reminder about the album again.
