Yes, the ceremonies will be held in Oslo on the 10th (Thursday).

The Fox Family Channel (in the US, at least) is set to broadcast the
concert (or parts of it) sometime next week. For the Peace Prize
ceremonies themselves, you'd do best to tune into CNN, etc., this Thursday
to see what gets reported.

There's a possibility that Bono and/or some of the other fellas might go,
but I'd be surprised if he was set to _present_ the award! The Nobels
tend to be quite stiff and formal, and if the Nobel Committee even got a
whiff of Bono's schtick at the Grammy's some years ago, they'd probably
have him detained at the Oslo airport.... ;-)

The last few news service articles I read on the "peace process" (or lack
thereof) and the Nobel Prize(s) had zero U2 content. Which means that
either (1) the band won't show at all (let alone get onstage) or (2)
journalists have no taste in music. Or both. Again, I'd suggest that any
fan who wants to tune and see what happens should watch CNN or other
all-news channels on Thursday (remember the time differences!) to see what
gets reported.

I haven't heard a thing about U2 showing up--and I'm sure the Wirelings
over in Europe would have shouted from the rooftops if the band were
likely to appear....
