why Mexico City vs. other Popmart dates?

Maybe I am naive, but they probably planned that particular concert for a
video release before they knew what Bono's voice would be like. I know
they had cameras all during the tour, but were they always as elaborate as
Mexico City? I suppose if they thought Bono's voice was really terrible
they could have used audio from another concert (don't know how tricky
that would be--certainly no closeups). Why Mexico over Sydney? I don't
know anything about the Sydney concert, but I would also guess that the
video release of Mexico was probably to capitalize on the pre-exposure of
that particular date with the MTV and Showtime broadcast. People who
caught that (ie--regular fans, not those who must buy everything U2 for
the sake of U2 ;) will recognize Mexico City and be more likely to buy it.
Just a guess on my part. Does anyone have better/concrete info?

Regards,
Tanya
