Well it's that time of year again. The time when our family are seen
poking their heads in our CD collections to see what we don't have and
then have an even harder time trying to find what we need. I just told
them to give me money or gift certificates this year. I have enough
copies of boy on 12" to last me a while..:)
also, about this bono/Mr. Yates thingy. Thanks for making me laugh. I
needed that, all i can think about this week is Ganesh and Siva ( i have
a religions mid term today...) Look at it this way folks. U2 are busy
ppl and when they do have some time off, i would LIKE to think they
would spend it with friends and fam..:) (yatzee anyone?)
also, i just gotta say i am abit dissapointed with this years U2
calender. A bit blan..:( but nice all the same, got a great zoo TV ear
post of The man himself on the front.
I was chatting with my friend last night and we came to a nice few
conclusions about a few under-rated U2 songs.. here they are..
1. TRIP THREW YOUR WIRES: Okay, i don't think he agrees with me on this
one, but man what a great song! I love the raw energy and just the
amout of fun they are having (YE HAW!)
2.DROWNING MAN: Ahh just send shivers up my spin!
3.ELVIS PRESLEY AND AMERICA: I really can't understand why ppl don't
like this song. If you look at it as an experiemnt in Eno-est music,
it's amazing. The vocals are raw and unsure, the quitar is guiet long
and sweeping.. just a great combo..
4.DO YOU FEEL LOVED?: Rumor has it U2 really donsn't like this song,
but why? it's amazing. Everytime i hear that guitar and bass kicking in
i just wanna get up and dance (NOTE: don't try that in a car, it's
REALLY REALLY HARD)
5. NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE RIVER: WOW.. classic u2, very remise of ONE
for me.. same sound, same beggin quality, bono and the edge's voice have
never sounded better..:)
and the list goes on and on..
Well marry X-man all.. Hope all you wishes are granted
And yes i aint touching ont eh drug thing, frankly, you guys are getting
ADDICTED to that topic..;P (get it..? it;s a PUn?.. ahh NM..:P)
