I just read Matt's post about Wire and the other U2 lists, and I
have to agree with him. When you have so many people "dreaming out
loud", some posts are bound to look like nightmares. I belong to two
other U2 lists besides this one, but Wire is still, IMHO, the best one.
Sometimes you have to kiss the frog, warts and all, to get the prince.

P.S. The title heading is a pun on "Me and Bobby McGee", a song made
famous by Janis Joplin. (I'm pointing this out for the younger readers
who may not have heard of the song. I'm 32 and proud of it!) This list
has proven to me the old phrase: "Strangers are friends you haven't
met." Although some posts have made me come up with a new phrase:
"Strangers are like mutant salad dressing: full of piss and vinegar." I
guess I'll give the final quote to Voltaire: "I don't agree with what
you say, but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it." (That
may not be quoted 100% accurately (especially since he wrote in French),
but that is the jist of it.) Pax vobiscum.
