Sounds like J is determined to get a response.

RHT has a superb Streets, Bad, UF and an excellent WOWY performance.
It sounds grainier than JTOF, latter is more dynamic.
JTOF has a superior WOWY(best live performance), the best
Mothers...Disappeared by far, and the overall fidelity performance,
ambience is beautiful. JTOF is sparkly crisp and detailed.
Bottom line, the 3 April JT boots are the best 3 when you consider
sonics and performance.

As far as summer shows, the Cork boot is poorly mastered from vinyl.
Too bad, it's the best summer show and the most energetic show that
year, best 'Trip Through Your Wires' version.
'Second Homecoming' is a solid boot.

Fall 87, yuppie boot is more interesting than Denver. Pretty strong
sound, some hiss, nice outdoor feel and atmosphere.
The Oakland boot is solid, the only complete fall audience boot
released, best version of 'Still...' in terms of vocal prowess, the
sound on that track is superb while the others are generally excellent.

As you recall, you acknowledged that Denver is kinda tame and JTOF's
strengths.

In terms of closeness, but not detailed rich crisp sound with amazing
transparency. JT on fire performance blows away Denver performance wise
as well, Denver is alot tamer and sterile. RHT is a great boot but
passing on JTOF which is a superior performance and one of the top 2 or
3 shows that year would be a mistake.

Translation: the sound is razor sharp at times, plays perfect on my
system. Only requirement is a good receiver and speaker system with
solid specs.
The cymbals are crisp and detailed, do you prefer the muddiness in many
of the geraldo boots.

Actually JT in Flames has some rare bonus tracks, One Tree Hill sounds
real crisp, like a closer version of JTFire, Dalton tracks with Bono's
southern fired accent, and some other great sounding stuff. Main
Arizona April show has some advantages over RHT in terms of sound, Bono
also has a bit of his Red Rocks/UF live vocals that night, one of the
last times his vocals sounded like that. People Get Ready and Maggie's
Farm played although the real standouts are In God's Country, Bad,
Streets, UF, Running. Vocal tone is awesome on other songs as well.
Tear Gas is missing some tracks from the complete show.
The Cork version of C'mon Everybody is probably the best but the
original CD boot on 'Cocayne' is poorly mastered from vinyl, bass is a
bit distorted at times, the dynamics of the vinyl boot have been
contracted, not as sharp and open either.
