Wow,
That's a great thread to start my first post here (in a looooong time.).
After reading the others' posts on this subject I am not surprised at all
at how much this band has changed so many people and their lives for the
better. I first started listening to U2 about 7 years ago, after a friend
of mine, Leander, started me listening to them. (Thanks Lea! :-))
My life has been greatly changed since I became a U2 fan. I have met
some wonderful, irreplaceable friends (Sharon! Catherine! Take a Bow!),
done things I never would have done otherwise ( travelled overseas by
myself, followed my dreams to act,.) and was basically saved from going
down a darker path. In that, I mean, I found the good in this world in U2.
I learned to question things more, and not be so ready to take things at
face value, to take a stand for what I believed in, to "dream out loud and
at high volume." :-)
I am just so inspired and uplifted and challenged and in awe of these
four extraordinary human beings known to the world as U2. God Bless them.

And God bless you, too. :-)

~Nuala.
