now THAT'S a loaded topic. ;)

first i would like to absolve the tags' creator of any and all blame for
anything that happened once the idea left her head. here's to you, angie
the wiretag girl. :)

secondly, yeah, elmo, there were people who TOTALLY TOTALLY abused
whatever "privilege" their tag gave them. and they suck. cos in my
opinion, they were seriously taking advantage of the band's affinity for
us wirelings and at the same time giving us a bad name, collectively.

i'm not naming any names but there were definitely people who used their
tags to outwit ditzy local security and watch soundchecks, or get cameras
into shows, or any number of other things. (myself, i got my camera in
the old-fashioned way...down my pants. ;P ) i saw it. and i wanted to
run right up to A) the wirelings in question and smack em around a
bit...and B) the security people and smack them around a bit and tell em
to get a fucking clue. but i didn't. cos i wished to GOD that i had had
the balls to do it myself. *sigh* but i knew that i couldn't, because a
year, 6 months, 2 weeks, hell even 10 MINUTES down the line i would have
felt guilty as all hell.

i think some amount of "fair fucks to ya" is expected, even healthy, in
situations such as these. but...shit, i don't know. i imagine that i'm
coming off as some horribly pompous beeyatch with a bone to pick and a
chip on her shoulder who's still a little bitter about having LAST FUCKING
row seats @ the 2nd chicago POPmart show....oh, wait, that would be true.
*shrug*

so again i say, fuck the rest of em.

hope everything's groovy....

love,
mia.
