Hmmm...since I didn't see what you saw, I can't say for certain, _but_
there is in fact a sort of "alternate" WOWY video out there. I've not
seen it for some years myself, but, to dredge from memory, it's very
similar to the familiar version we've all seen before. However, it's lit
differently, it seemed darker, with the lighting more "extreme" between
light and dark...and you can see a bit more of the naked couple rolling
around (but not so much as to have to send the kiddies out of the room,
mind you). I've heard some fans claim that this is a full-length video
that was released (to TV) in Europe; others claim that only a portion of
it exists, as part of an in-store promotional trailer for "The Joshua
Tree" that was shown at the various "mega-stores" in Europe, which also
(by the way) includes the video footage of the band in Death Valley,
Bodie, etc., the same footage that was shown on the screens during the Zoo
TV tour.
Sorry, but I've no idea how to get a hold of a copy of this stuff--I only
got a quick look at a video owned by another fan, and we lost touch years
ago!
