Give me a break...I screwed up big time with those notes. We all screw
up big time at least once in our lives, do we not? I had an absolutely
hellish day at work, then I come home and find this crud in my mailbox!
I don't mean to imply that everyone, or even a significant number of
people on Wire, are cruds or whatever. A very small minority is. That's
who I got fed up at. In fact, I think this is a very nice list, with
alot of very nice people in it--they are the majority. But--flames are
about as welcome in my e-mail box as spam is, maybe even less. Thanks to
David Way and Robbie Robinson for talking me out of leaving. No thanks
to the a**holes who invaded my mailbox. Nobody made my life miserable or
anything so drastic....egads, what's next, an assumption that I called
the ambulance to take me to the ER? Uh, no, I've never been in an
ambulance, and the only times I've ever been in the ER were for sprained
and broken ankles! You are reading WAY too much into this. I was already
fed up from the library--I was fed up with screaming patrons and kids
screwing up half the Dewey Decimal books so badly it took me four hours
to fix the damn mess. Then the notes hit me where it hurts, and I
screamed bloody murder and choice profanities. It was the last straw! I
just had a bad day, pulled a great big screw-up.....what's the problem?
Is anyone perfect? No. Everyone screws up big time from time to time.
What's so awful about screwing up? I didn't shoot anyone, I didn't
commit robbery, I didn't smash up anyone's car, I didn't throw my
mother's silver bracelet into the river.......Chill out! OK, back to
lurking mode.

Pax,
Patricia
