What kind of U2 fan are you?

If you get offended if someone speculates that Bono is on drugs (which
could be true), and you just want to kill the person who posts
anything negative about U2 (even U2-bashing posts that are not even
half-meant), then I guess you are an "overly stuck-up passionate
uptight patriotic nationalistic U2istic fanatic."

If you believe everything U2 says in every interview (like when they
say in every album launch "this is the best album we have made to
date"), and you think every new album or new video or new song is
their best effort yet because they have matured, then you are the
"overly gullible spoonfed I-will-believe-everything U2 fan."

If you think that Joshua Tree was THE U2 album, and everything after
that was U2 being more far out, and everyhing during the Joshua Tree
era (including the bsides which are fittingly called bsies) were the
best work of the band, and you want U2 to release all their Joshua
Tree concerts, recording sessions and other versions in one boxed set,
then you are the "closed minded overly fixated in 1987 U2 fan."

If you want to collect every bootleg of every concert despite the fact
that they have the same setlist and song versions, then you are the
"overly-anxious-to-hear-the-same-songs-recorded-with
different-walkmans U2 fan."

If you give without getting anything in return then you are a
modsavage (for guys) or a nico (for girls). If you receive without
giving your due, you are a "danny best."

If you love peace and quiet and want the chilling silence and mystery
of ice you are an "Exiter." If you want things hotter and want to see
and add more flames, then you are a "wireling."

I have mentioned just a few kinds of U2 fans I know of. Many kinds of
fans overlap, and some are hybrids of different kinds of U2 fans.
Well, it's just me writing another crappy, boring long post. I guess
I'm just getting bored again...

Cheers,

J
