back from the tortures...

...er, family holiday.
hope your x-mas holiday was more exciting than mine (and that you don't have
older and stronger brothers who would pratice their Kung-Fu on you...).
on top of this, Edge turned out to be too big to go under my christmas tree
(FYI, by polish standards Santa puts the presents under the tree:). maybe
next year i'll get a bigger tree...

ok, so i have some not-so-important questions to ask.

primo, Stephen wrote:

on Ireland's history, such as Oscar Wilde (tho' he would have considered
himself British!)<<

i won't get into the very matter of the post (though even knowing little
about Irish history, i can talk about it for hours -- provided those who i'm
talking to know even less:p), but what i wanted to ask is: what accent did
Oscar Wilde have? i read some biographies, but none of them mentioned this
detail. since Wilde was famous for his speech and conversation skills, i've
been wondering how his speaking might have sounded.
now, even knowing there are some older people on wire, i suspect none of you
is quite old enough to have heard Mr.Wilde personally;) - but maybe
you've read some more detailed biographies...
U2 content in this part of my post: we were once talking about getting into
other musicians through U2. how about a thread "writers i got into through
U2"?:)

secundo, my brother has decided he just HAS to have a Bono-like hooded
sweatshirt. so the question is: how does he get one? is there a site where
he can order it? any help would be appreciated.

uhm... have i forgotten anything? oh yes, U2 dreams. still can't get that
image of Adam with grapes up his nose out of my head! LOL! more like this,
please! (Adam, why don't you have another grape?)

have yourself a fantastic New Year's party everyone, and i'll see you next
year.
