Last Sunday, "Sunday Morning" with Charles Osgood did their annual tribute
to Americans who died during the past year. In the Phil Hartmann bit, they
played a clip of him playing Frank Sinatra on Saturday Night Live (since it
was a good segue into talking about Frank Sinatra's death). He was singing
"I've Got You Under My Skin" while a fellow with long hair, black jacket
and sunglasses was looking confused in the background. Then realization
dawned. "It's Bono!"
I'd never seen the skit before, and even though they showed only a few
seconds, it was pretty cool to see a Bono reference on such a staid news
show. Odd that SNL chose to depict Fly-era Bono with long hair though...
