Fever: The Art of David Wojnarowicz

The FIRST retrospective of a protean artist who died of
AIDS in 1992 at age 37. Charting his course from the streets,
to the "first wave" of East Village artists, to his sharply
political works, this show includes 75 of his most important
paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations, as well
as films, videos, writings and documentation of performances
and readings. NOT TO BE MISSED.
"Fever: The Art of David Wojnarowicz" co-published by Rizzoli
International and The New Museum. Edited by Amy Scholder, this
fully illustrated catalog features essys by Dan Cameron, C. Carr
and Mysoon Rizk. It also includes selections of previously
published writings by David Wojnarowicz.
Optic Nerve
An interactive CD-ROM on sale at The New Museum beginning mid-Jan,
it includes videos and films made by, or featuring Wojnarowicz.
In collaboration with The New Museum, the disc was produced by
the Red Hot Organization, a New York group that fights AIDS through
popular culture and Funny Garbage.
